About Me

My photo
I am a mom, a wife, and a teacher-librarian. I have four boys at home: Main Man (44), #1 (14), #2 (11), and #3 (7). Although they keep me very busy, I also look after a library for an elementary student population of 500 (give or take). I love my family; I love my job.

Someone....

....needs to tell Mother Nature that April Fool's Day has passed us by.

We woke up this morning - April 10 - to a blizzardy winter wonderland outside.

I am so tired of snow!

I can't even imagine that.

It's probably been 10 years since it snowed here and then it was just a dusting.

What a freaky spring, eh??

Someone may need to tell God. :-)
You need to send up an SOS prayer!

I am holding Spring hostage. For a reasonable ransom, let's say a million bucks or a pair of really, really cute shoes, I will let Spring go unharmed.

You guys are just catching up - we haven't had snow in weeks but there are still some huge piles in our yard.

It's too bad because I've been really anxious to get out the rakes and mower and fertilizer and start doing yard work - NOT!!!!!!

Pissy - I don't usually mind snow much, but in mid-April, I've really had enough!

Lowa - I know. I could really use some global warming right now. ;-)

Susan - It's crossed my mind. It's just that I try to keep the praying for the truly important things. (And I'm not sure this qualifies.)

Mist - I'm going out today to search for the cutest pair of shoes I can find!

Grumps - I would much rather have had it in December and January than in April! By the way, with all your snow melting, have you had any trouble with flooding?

LM- We've been lucky to see a very slow melt - the snow is almost gone and it hasn't come into the house.

We did work our butts off shoveling the roof, given the problems we had last fall with a leak. It seems to have paid off.

Good to hear, Grumps.

Who went up on the roof?

Grumps said...

Ummm, someone, er, ahem, someone else...

...I'm so embarassed.

I actually did manage to get myself up on the roof but that was becase the snow in one spot was so high, it was like a few small steps to get there. Once I'm on the roof, I'm okay -- it's getting from the ladder to the roof that's a problem.

I still did my share on the ground, because, once there the snow had to be moved away from the house.
